Agriculture & AgTech

An agronomist’s reach,
extended.

Growers ask the same hundred questions every season. An agent can answer most of them from your own trials and the product labels, and recognise the ones an adviser has to take.

What it is

An AI agronomist agent answers growers’ questions about sowing windows, nutrition, crop stage, weather risk and pest pressure from a defined set of sources: your local variety and fertiliser trials, the national register of authorised plant protection products and their labels, extension guidance and the farm’s own records. Every answer cites its sources. Anything that amounts to a treatment recommendation is drafted for a qualified adviser to review and sign.

It is built for the organisations that already advise farmers: cooperatives, input distributors, agtech platforms and independent advisory firms. It reaches growers through the channels they use, often WhatsApp or a phone call rather than an app, and in their language.

What it handles

01

Grounded answers

Questions answered only from your approved sources, each answer linked to the trial, label or guidance note it came from, and refused when the sources do not cover it.
02

Label and register checks

Any product mentioned is checked against the national register for crop, dose, interval and status, so an unauthorised or off-label use is never suggested.
03

Farm context

Previous crops, soil tests, applications and imagery from the farm’s records brought into the answer, so advice fits the field rather than the average.
04

Not: a signed recommendation

Where a plant-protection recommendation must be issued by a registered adviser, as it is in several EU member states, the agent drafts and the adviser decides and signs.

Questions

Questions about Agronomy Advisory Agents.

What is an AI agronomist?

It is a conversational agent that answers growers’ agronomic questions using defined sources such as local trial data, authorised product labels and the farm’s own records. A well-built one cites its sources, refuses questions its sources do not cover and passes treatment decisions to a qualified adviser. It extends an agronomist’s reach rather than replacing the agronomist.

Is AI farm advice reliable?

General chatbots are not reliable for agronomy: they mix regions, invent rates and suggest products not authorised where you farm. Reliability comes from restricting answers to vetted local sources, checking every product against the national register and routing uncertain or high-stakes questions to an adviser. We measure answer accuracy on real grower questions before launch.

Which AI app is best for agriculture advice?

For a grower, the best advice tool is usually the one run by an adviser or cooperative that knows the region. For those organisations, an agent built on their own trials and guidance, in their growers’ language and channels, does more than a generic app. That is what we build, with the organisation’s agronomists setting its limits.
