Safety data sheets,
kept current.

An SDS is a legal document with sixteen sections, many markets and a shelf life measured in regulatory updates. The drafting and tracking can be automated. The release cannot, and should not be.

What it is

AI-assisted REACH and SDS compliance drafts safety data sheets in the format REACH Annex II requires, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2020/878, from your substance and mixture data, translates them for each market, and watches for changes that make a sheet out of date: a new harmonised classification, a candidate-list addition, a supplier SDS revision, an occupational exposure limit change. A competent person reviews and releases every sheet.

It sits alongside your existing EHS or regulatory system, such as SAP EHS, Sphera or UL WERCS, rather than replacing it. Classification under CLP (Regulation 1272/2008), REACH registration duties and poison-centre notifications under Annex VIII remain determinations your regulatory team makes; the system gives them the evidence and the first draft.

What it handles

01

Drafting to Annex II

All sixteen sections drafted from your composition and test data, with each hazard statement and value traced to the source record it came from.
02

Change monitoring

ATP updates to CLP Annex VI, SVHC candidate-list additions and supplier SDS revisions matched against your portfolio, with the affected products listed.
03

Translation and market variants

Sheets in each official language required where you sell, using your approved phrase library first and flagging any free-text translation for review.
04

Not: classification or release

The system proposes; it does not classify a mixture, decide a registration duty or publish a sheet. Each of those is signed by a named person in your regulatory team.

Where data needed for a section is missing, the draft says so. A plausible value is the most dangerous thing an SDS generator can write.
Questions

Questions about REACH & SDS Compliance.

Can AI write a safety data sheet?

It can draft one from your composition and test data in the REACH Annex II structure, and it can do so consistently across languages and markets. REACH requires that an SDS be compiled by a competent person, so a qualified person must check and release it. The model must never invent a value where data is missing; we design it to flag the gap instead.

What does REACH compliance software do?

It tracks substances and their registrations, classifications and restrictions, manages SDS authoring and distribution, and monitors regulatory changes such as candidate-list updates. AI adds faster drafting, change impact analysis across the portfolio and translation. The legal duties under REACH and CLP stay with the company and its named people.

How do we keep SDSs up to date when regulations change?

By matching each change, such as a new harmonised classification, an SVHC listing or a supplier revision, against the substances in every product, then drafting the revisions and routing them for review. Monitoring is where automation helps most, because the slow part is usually finding out which products are affected.
