Revenue management,
with the reasons shown.

AI hotel revenue management means models that forecast demand and suggest rate moves from your own booking pace, events and competitor prices. We build the brief and the explanation; the revenue manager makes the call.

Where the time goes

A revenue manager's morning is mostly assembly: pickup from the PMS, rate shopping from a parity tool, the events calendar, the group blocks, last year's pattern for the same week. Dedicated revenue management systems such as IDeaS or Duetto do the optimisation well for hotels that run them. Many independent and mid-size hotels do not, and the ones that do still want to know why a price moved.

Hotel dynamic pricing with AI is often sold as a black box that sets rates on its own. We build the opposite: a system that gathers the signals, produces a forecast and a recommended move per date and room type, and writes down the reasons in plain language. The person who answers for the result decides, and the rate is pushed through the channel manager only after they approve it.

What it does, and what it will not

01

Demand and pickup forecast

Booking pace by date and segment against the same point last year, with the city events, holidays and flight capacity that explain the difference.
02

Rate recommendations with reasons

A suggested move per date and room type, the confidence behind it, and the two or three signals that drove it, so the recommendation can be argued with.
03

Channel and parity checks

Mismatches between the PMS, channel manager and OTA displays caught and reported before guests find them.
04

Not: pooled competitor data

We do not build tools that share non-public rates or occupancy between competing hotels. Pricing algorithms fed with competitors' private data have drawn competition-law scrutiny, and the question of what is lawful is yours and your counsel's.

How we validate it

Before any recommendation is shown, the forecast is back-tested on the hotel's own history: what it would have predicted for past weeks, against what actually happened. That tells everyone how far to trust it and for which horizons. A forecast that is good at thirty days out and poor at three is still useful, as long as the brief says so.

Once live, every accepted and rejected recommendation is logged with the outcome. Over a season, that record is the honest answer to whether the system helps, and it is the revenue manager's to read.

Questions

Questions about Revenue Management.

How does AI help hotel revenue management?

By doing the assembly and the forecasting. A model reads booking pace from the PMS, competitor rates, events and seasonality, forecasts demand by date and room type, and suggests where the rate should move. The value is speed and consistency across hundreds of date and room combinations; the judgement about groups, strategy and positioning stays with the revenue manager.

Should a hotel let AI set prices automatically?

We recommend not starting there. Automatic pricing can work within agreed floors and ceilings once the forecast has a track record on the hotel's own data, but a recommendation with reasons builds that record without the risk. We build approval into the flow so rates go to the channel manager only after a person confirms them.

Does it replace IDeaS, Duetto or another RMS?

No. Where a hotel already runs a revenue management system, we work around it: briefing, explanation, parity checks and reporting. Where it does not, a lighter forecasting and recommendation layer can cover the gap. Which is right depends on the size of the property and how much of the pricing is already systematic.
