Travel AI,
on live inventory.

Real availability, not invented trips.

In context

AI in travel means agents that plan, quote and service trips from a company's real supplier inventory and booking systems, rather than from a model's memory of the world. A person confirms anything that becomes a contract.

Where it breaks today

01

Consumer planners invent the trip

General AI travel planners produce confident itineraries with museums that close on Mondays, transfers that do not connect and prices from two years ago. Travellers then bring those plans to an agent and expect them honoured.
02

Operations run on email and spreadsheets

Supplier confirmations, rooming lists, guide allocations and amendments still move by email between the booking system and a dozen suppliers, and every change is copied by hand.
03

Content in every language, every season

Destinations and operators need descriptions, FAQs and pages in many languages, kept accurate as products, opening times and rules change. Most of it is written once and left to drift.
OUR APPROACH

Plan from inventory, book through people and systems

The travel systems we build separate two jobs. Planning and answering can be done by an agent, provided every product it suggests comes from the company's own catalogue or a live supplier API, such as a GDS (Amadeus, Sabre), an airline NDC feed, a bedbank or the operator's reservation system. Booking, payment and changes to terms go through the existing booking flow and, where they create a contract, a person.

That boundary matters legally as well as commercially. In the EU, combining travel services can create a package under the Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302, with pre-contractual information duties and liability for the whole trip. An agent that assembles flights, hotels and tours needs to know when it is doing that. Whether a given offer is a package is for the company and its counsel to determine; we build the system so the question is asked and recorded.

HOW IT DEPLOYS
PHASE 01

Map the products and suppliers

We list where inventory, prices and availability actually come from, and which of those sources can be queried live.
PHASE 02

Ground the agent

The agent can only suggest what the catalogue and supplier APIs return, with the source and timestamp of every price kept with the quote.
PHASE 03

Keep people on the contract

Quotes and amendments are drafted automatically; confirmation, payment and anything that changes terms follow the company's existing approval path.

Questions

Questions about Travel & Tourism.

How is AI used in the travel industry?

In four main ways: trip planning and itinerary building, customer service and rebooking, pricing and revenue management for airlines and hotels, and operations such as supplier confirmations and disruption handling. The shift now under way is from chatbots that answer questions to agents that use booking systems and supplier APIs to carry out multi-step tasks, which makes grounding and approval far more important.

What is the best AI for travel planning?

For a traveller, any capable general assistant can sketch a trip, but it will not know live prices or availability and it will make mistakes about opening times and connections. For a travel company, the best AI is one connected to its own catalogue and suppliers, so every suggestion is something it can actually sell. That is the kind we build.

Can AI travel agents book trips on their own?

They can be given that ability, but we do not recommend it for anything that creates a contract or takes payment without a confirmation step. We build agents that assemble and quote from live inventory and then hand to the existing booking flow, where the customer or a consultant confirms. Changes to terms, refunds and disruption decisions stay with people.

How does AI handle the EU Package Travel Directive?

It does not decide anything about it, but it can be built to notice. When an agent combines a flight, accommodation and another service, the system records that the combination may form a package or a linked travel arrangement, attaches the required information templates and routes it for review. Whether an offer is a package is the company's determination.

Will AI replace travel agents?

Not the useful ones. AI is good at the repetitive research, the first draft of an itinerary and the routine questions. Travellers still want a person for complex trips, disruption and judgement about what will suit them. The realistic change is consultants handling more trips, with the agent doing the assembly and the checking.
