Destination content
that stays true.

AI destination marketing means drafting and maintaining multilingual destination content from a verified base of local facts, so pages, itineraries and answers stay accurate as the place changes. People who know the destination approve what is published.

The problem with more content

Destination marketing organisations and operators already have more pages than they can keep current: attractions, neighbourhoods, events, itineraries, practical advice, each in several languages. Generative AI makes it cheap to write more, and that is the trap. Unchecked text about a place goes wrong quickly: an opening time changes, a festival moves, a beach closes, and the error is repeated in every language.

Travellers increasingly meet a destination through AI search and assistants that summarise these pages. If the source is inconsistent, the summary will be too. So the work we do starts with a structured base of verified facts, owned by the organisation, and generates content from it rather than from a model's memory.

What we build

01

A verified facts base

Attractions, hours, prices, access, seasons and rules held as structured records with an owner and a review date, so every page draws on the same facts.
02

Multilingual drafting

Pages and itineraries drafted in each target language from those facts, in the organisation's voice, rather than translated from one master text.
03

Structured for AI search

Pages that answer the questions travellers ask in plain text, with structured data, so assistants and search engines quote them correctly.
04

Not: invented imagery or claims

No generated photographs presented as the real place, no fabricated visitor quotes. Under the EU AI Act, realistic AI-generated images of real places carry disclosure duties; local experts approve every page.

Questions

Questions about Destination Marketing.

How can destination marketing organisations use AI?

Most usefully for keeping a large body of multilingual content accurate and consistent, answering visitor questions from verified information, and analysing what travellers search for. The risk is publishing more unchecked text about the place, so we build around a verified facts base and local human review rather than open-ended generation.

How does AI search change tourism marketing?

Travellers increasingly get a summary from an assistant instead of visiting ten pages. Those summaries are assembled from what is published, so consistency and plain, factual answers on the destination's own pages matter more than volume. Structured data and clear question-and-answer content make it more likely an assistant quotes the destination correctly.

Can we use AI-generated images of the destination?

We advise against presenting generated images as the real place. Travellers judge a destination by its photographs, and realistic synthetic images of real locations carry disclosure duties under the EU AI Act transparency rules. Illustration that is obviously illustration is a different matter. The policy decision, and the legal determination, belong to the organisation.
