Satellite crop monitoring uses repeated imagery to track the condition of each field through a season: emergence, vigour, stress, harvest. Land use monitoring applies the same approach to plots and landscapes, flagging conversion, clearance or deforestation. AI turns the image time series into per-field and per-plot signals instead of maps someone has to read.
Two uses drive most demand. Agronomy and farm management, where the signal guides scouting and inputs. And supply-chain due diligence, where buyers must show that commodities did not come from recently deforested land, as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires for products in its scope. A satellite alert is evidence to investigate, not a verdict: whether a plot is compliant is a determination your organisation makes, with field checks where it matters.
