Chemicals AI,
grounded in your lab.

Your data first. A chemist signs.

In context

AI for chemicals means using your own historical formulations, test results and regulatory records to suggest what to try next, find what was already tried, and draft safety and compliance documents. It is useful when it learns from your lab data and leaves every safety and regulatory sign-off with a qualified person.

Where it breaks today

01

Decades of experiments, unsearchable

Formulation history sits in old notebooks, spreadsheets and LIMS exports. Chemists rerun experiments a retired colleague already ran because nobody can find the result.
02

Regulatory text multiplies

Every product needs safety data sheets per market and language, kept current as classifications change under CLP, REACH and GHS variants. The regulatory team is always behind.
03

Small data, big claims

Generic materials-discovery models are trained on public databases. Your problem lives in a narrow chemistry with a few hundred data points, where off-the-shelf predictions are least reliable.
OUR APPROACH

AI in materials science starts with the archive

Most of the value AI brings to a chemical company is already sitting in its own records. Before any model can suggest a formulation or a material, those records have to be read, cleaned and joined: recipes to test results, raw-material lots to performance, substances to their classifications. That data work is the larger part of every project we scope, and we say so up front.

On top of it, models suggest and search; they do not certify. A suggested formulation is tested at the bench. A drafted safety data sheet is checked and released by a competent person, as REACH Annex II requires. Classification under CLP, registration under REACH and every market-specific determination remain your regulatory team’s.

HOW IT DEPLOYS
PHASE 01

Read the archive

Notebooks, LIMS exports and regulatory systems joined into one record per formulation, substance and test.
PHASE 02

Search and suggest

Similarity search, property models and experiment suggestions on your data, running on infrastructure you control.
PHASE 03

Close the loop

Every bench result written back, so the next suggestion learns from what your lab actually measured.

What we build

01

Formulation Search

Find the nearest past formulations to a new target, see what they achieved, and get suggested next experiments, all from your own records.

SEE FORMULATION SEARCH →
02

REACH & SDS Compliance

Safety data sheet drafts in the REACH Annex II format, translations and change tracking when classifications or supplier data move, released by your competent person.

SEE REACH & SDS →
03

Materials Discovery

Active-learning pipelines that combine simulation, public databases and your measurements to choose which candidates are worth making.

04

Plant & Quality Analytics

Process and quality data from production read alongside the lab record, so deviations and their likely causes are found sooner.

Controls we implement

FORMULATIONS ON YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE COMPETENT-PERSON RELEASE ON EVERY SDS NO TRAINING ON YOUR DATA SOURCE TRACE ON EVERY HAZARD STATEMENT

These are engineering controls we build into the architecture, not certifications. QQuantum.ai holds no security certifications, and regulatory determinations under REACH, CLP and local rules remain yours — see our trust centre.

Questions

Questions about Chemicals & Materials.

How is AI used in the chemical industry?

In R&D it searches past experiments, predicts properties and suggests formulations or reaction conditions to test. In regulatory work it drafts and updates safety data sheets and tracks substance obligations. In plants it supports process control and predictive maintenance. The common thread is that results depend on the company’s own data, and the safety and regulatory decisions stay with qualified people.

Can AI predict chemical properties?

For well-represented chemistries, property models can give useful estimates, and they get better with your own measurements. For narrow or novel chemistry with little data, predictions carry wide uncertainty, so we report that uncertainty and use the model to choose which experiments are most informative rather than to replace them.

Is our formulation data safe with AI?

It can stay entirely on your infrastructure. Formulations are trade secrets, so we deploy models where your data already lives, including open-weight models on your own servers or a sovereign cloud region, and nothing is sent to a provider that could train on it. Access is scoped by role and every query is logged.

What is the role of AI in materials science?

AI speeds up the search through possible materials by learning from simulations, public databases such as the Materials Project and your own measurements, then proposing the candidates most worth making. Its role is to narrow the search and make each experiment count. Synthesis, characterisation and qualification still decide whether a material is real.

Can AI help with REACH compliance?

It can help with the document and monitoring burden: drafting SDS sections from your substance data, tracking classification changes and candidate-list updates, and flagging which products are affected. It does not make registration or classification decisions, which under REACH and CLP remain the legal responsibility of the manufacturer, importer or downstream user.
