Veterinary AI,
with the vet signing.

Intake, notes, reminders. The vet decides.

Pixel illustration for Veterinary Practices: several connected work stations with different tools.
In context

AI in veterinary practice takes the paperwork around a consult: routing calls and messages, drafting SOAP notes and discharge instructions for the vet to sign, and keeping clients on top of boosters and follow-ups. Diagnosis and prescribing stay with the veterinarian.

Where it breaks today

01

Notes finished after closing

Fifteen-minute consults back to back leave the clinical record to be written at the end of the day, from memory. It is a well-known contributor to long hours and burnout in the profession.
02

Reception decides what is urgent

A worried owner rings about a dog that ate something, and a receptionist has to decide whether it is today, tomorrow or the emergency clinic, while the queue at the desk grows.
03

Boosters slip

Vaccination, parasite control and dental follow-ups depend on reminders that are sent once, to an old phone number, and never followed up.
OUR APPROACH

Less typing, the same clinical judgement

Veterinary AI tools now cover a lot of ground: scribes that draft SOAP notes from the consult, drug and evidence lookups, imaging analysis and AI receptionists. We build the administrative and documentation parts, and we build them around one rule: the system drafts and routes, and a registered veterinary professional decides and signs.

That rule follows the profession's own obligations. Prescribing and clinical judgement sit with the veterinary surgeon under the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct in the UK, Real Decreto 666/2023 on veterinary medicines in Spain, and state practice acts and the veterinarian-client-patient relationship in the US. Owners' personal data falls under GDPR in Europe. None of it changes because a draft was written by software, so the design keeps the vet's signature on every clinical record and every decision about an animal's care.

HOW IT DEPLOYS
PHASE 01

Connect the PIMS

ezyVet, Provet Cloud, Covetrus Pulse, Cornerstone, AVImark, RxWorks or Qvet: patient, client and appointment data come from it, and notes and bookings go back into it.
PHASE 02

Agree the practice's templates

SOAP format, discharge wording, which calls are always same-day, which go to the emergency service. Written with your clinical team.
PHASE 03

Start with one team

A few vets and nurses use it for a few weeks, edit what it drafts, and those edits shape the templates before the whole practice moves.

Questions

Questions about Veterinary Practices.

What is AI in veterinary medicine?

It is software that helps veterinary teams with documentation, diagnostics and client communication. Scribes draft SOAP notes and discharge instructions from a consult, decision-support tools look up drugs and evidence, imaging tools help read radiographs, and AI receptionists handle calls and bookings. We build the documentation, intake and client-communication side, integrated with the practice management system, with the vet signing every clinical record.

What is the best AI for veterinary practices?

The one that fits the practice management system and the way your vets already write notes. Off-the-shelf veterinary AI scribes work well for many practices. A custom build makes sense when you need it inside your own PIMS, in several languages, with your own templates and discharge wording, or with data kept on infrastructure you choose. We help decide which, and say so when an existing product is the better answer.

Is it safe to record consults for an AI scribe?

It can be, with consent and clear handling. Clients are told the consult is being recorded and why, and can say no. Audio is used to draft the note and then deleted on the schedule the practice sets, and the draft is reviewed by the vet before it enters the record. Owners are identifiable people, so GDPR applies to the recording in Europe even though the patient is an animal.

Can AI triage animals?

Deciding how urgent a case is remains a clinical judgement made by a vet or registered veterinary nurse. Our intake systems screen calls and messages for warning signs such as breathing difficulty, collapse, bleeding, toxin ingestion or a straining cat, and pass those to a person at once. They do not tell an owner that something can wait.

Does it integrate with ezyVet, Provet Cloud or Covetrus?

The integration with the practice management system is part of the build, because appointments, patient histories and client contacts all live there and notes have to go back into it. Most cloud PIMS offer an API; older on-premise systems may need a different route. We confirm the route for your system in the first call.
